Salers Junior National
Contests & Workshops

Hundreds of young Salers enthusiasts gather each summer to compete in a week's worth of contests, workshops and cattle shows.

Events in the past have included a Beef Skill-a-Thon, Team Fitting Contest, Marketing Contest, Advertising Contest, Poster Contest, Speech Contest, Showmanship Contest, State Herdsmanship Award, Livestock Judging Contest, Team Marketing, and more.

Since 1984, the ASJA has held a National Junior Salers Show. One of the most important benefits from showing Salers cattle is meeting new people and establishing lifelong friendships.

Highlighting the week is the National Heifer, Steer, Bull and Cow/Calf Show. The junior show is the largest Salers show in the United States.

The week is full of educational workshops and events unique to each Junior National location. Junior National is truly a fun time for the entire family! _____________________________
